The Board of Directors of the National Association of Black and White Men Together have unanimously approved the appointment of Douglas Reynolds of Kansas City to serve as interim Co-Chair, filling a vacancy created by the sudden death of Scott Duty.

Doug is a long-time member of NABWMT, who attended his first NA convention in San Francisco in 1990. Since that time, Doug has served with distinction as Co-Chair of the MACT Kansas City chapter, a leader of the Midland region, and a member of the national Board of Directors for several terms, including his current stint beginning with his election in 2015.

Doug has often spoken highly about his late predecessor, Scott, and his passion for his work with NABWMT. Doug is also a vocal advocate, calling on the organization to pursue an anti-racist agenda.

He is also a true workhorse. One of the highlights of the NA convention last July was the distribution of a 40th anniversary commemorative booklet, which Doug worked on tirelessly over several years.

Co-Chair Gavin Morrow-Hall said “Doug’s passion for the work and mission of the organization, along with his demonstrated service at all levels of NABWMT, makes him uniquely qualified to lead at this time.”

Upon his confirmation Doug declared, “while no one can replace Scott Duty, I am ready to serve  the organization and to do my best to get the job done.”
