As we approach the end of 2022, the NABWMT Board of Directors continues to work diligently to carry out our responsibilities to our members. We are all working together to make our organization stronger.

During the past three months, the Board of Directors has been focused on several initiatives for the upcoming year.

First, the Board is reviewing and revising our Strategic Plan.  Our focus is on leveraging our strengths and establishing goals that will propel us forward as an organization, and as a brotherhood, committed to  that people continue to experience.  Our commitment remains steadfast and unwavering.

Second, the Board continues to work with our Atlanta Chapter to develop robust and innovative programming for next year’s convention in July.  The Atlanta Chapter is dedicated to making this upcoming convention a successful and meaningful experience for all.  As a reminder, as we approach the year’s end, the base registration rate for the convention will change January 1, 2023, and the registration rate increases from $175 to $225.  Please submit your registration through the NABWMT website located at https://www.nabwmt.org/full-2023-convention-registration/.  We have a range of registration options available for every member.

Third, our ad hoc Political Action Team worked tirelessly this past year.  Through their activism, the results were very successful in the midterms.  Because of their efforts, we are now able to see major and positive changes in the political landscape across the country.  Their work continues to make an indelible impact for years to come.

Lastly, our committees need your input and your assistance.  There is a lot of work that needs to be done, and your assistance will enable us to meet the challenges ahead for this new year. We want to do more, and you can help in several ways.

We need assistance and expertise on fundraising, chapter development, the Bush-Mallon Institute for Social Justice, and membership committees.  In addition, we also need administrative support. We appreciate any assistance you can offer. If you are interested, please send an email to nabwmt@nabwmt.org.  We will then contact you and discuss how you can help us.

Looking toward 2023, our goal is to continue to provide quality programming and services to all our members.

In the spirit of brotherhood and gratitude, we wish you a happy, prosperous, and joyous new year.  2023 offers us fresh energy as we move confidently forward, making our hopes and dreams come true.

Peace,

Ollie and James
