Convention 2023: Atlanta

The 2022 convention in Minneapolis was a great success. (Just ask anyone who was there.)

But we are not resting on our laurels. We look forward to reconnecting with you in Atlanta for our 42nd Annual NABWMT Convention July 26 through July 29 at the Hilton Atlanta Airport in the suburb of Hapeville. See below for details.

Reconnect with our brotherhood for fellowship, support, and collective action to create the change in our world that we desire to see. We promise that you will depart our convention with invaluable knowledge and tools that will move you forward in your personal journey as an anti-racist.

Workshop topics to be announced later.

You’ll find the social events you love, including:

  • Red-carpet event and Welcome Reception
  • Opening Luncheon with Keynote address
  • Black, white, and combined Caucuses
  • Silent Auction
  • Talent/No Talent Show
  • Co-Chairs Luncheon with Keynote address
  • Closing Banquet with Keynote Address

The average high temperature in July is a very humid upper 80s°, with nighttime lows in the upper 60’s, yet the air conditioning inside the hotel may be cool, so dress accordingly!

Invite a friend to join you. The Convention registration rate is now $225 per person until April 16th (thereafter the rate is $275). However, a $75 registration rate is available to first-time attendees or persons returning to our convention following an absence of 10 or more years, and if you’re under the age of 35 by the time of convention, a special introductory rate is $50! If you wish to participate remotely (virtual attendance), the rate is $75. Scholarships and other support to lessen or eliminate economic barriers to joining us in Atlanta are available! Please inquire!

The Convention hotel is the Hilton Atlanta Airport at 1031 Virginia Av., Hapeville, 30354, 404-767-9000. Our discounted block rate is $125/night (for double queen sized bed) and is available 2 days before to 2 days after (July 24-31). Reservations must be made by June 24th to obtain these rates.

Public transit with the MARTA subway is a short distance from the Hotel. See further information about the Hotel.

We encourage you to revisit the Convention registration page to share:

  • Food allergies or dietary restrictions
  • Contact information for sharing hotel rooms if you like
  • Interest and availability to volunteer during the convention
  • Interest in excursions to notable sites in greater Atlanta

We hope to learn and grow with 100 or more passionate, justice-seeking, and interracial-loving men.
