Making the NA Visible And Fulfilling Its Statement of Purpose

Dear BWMT Brothers,
This past November was a special time for the NABWMT and many of our chapters, in our uniting with other groups to protest California's Proposition 8 banning gay marriage. We were once again stepping out and taking a stand for justice and nondiscrimination in this country we call America.

The NABWMT, under our new co-chairs and Board of Directors, believe it is our mission to lead the way in taking a stand on behalf of our members, our local chapters, and the multitudes who are unable to express their opinion, and try to make a difference in our society so that we all will have an opportunity for a brighter future.

We want to especially thank Men of All Colors Together (MACT) Philadelphia for their part in helping the NABWMT get the word lations Committee for writing the attached press release. (See Page 10 of the Winter 2008-2009 quarterly.) If you or your chapter has issues that could be helped with a position statement from the NA, please contact the Co-Chairs or the PR Committee.

If your local chapter gets any news coverage, please share it with the NA by e-mail or US mail. We also encourage you to keep up to date with what's going on regarding the nationwide protests, by visiting www.jointheimpact.wetpaint.com.

Thanks for your continued support!

Yours in Brotherhood,
Norbert Young and Scott Duty, Co-Chairs
