Celebrating 32 years of multi-cultural, multi-racial diversity in the GLBTQ community. The convention will feature Keynote speakers, workshops, breakout sessions, Luncheons, Single-Mingle Dating event, Banquet Dinner, community awareness and education. Pool Party and more. See below for more info.

Q: I have never been to a NABWMT convention before, are new people welcome?

A: Sure!! You will find a welcoming environment with many like minded people. You will be amazed at how fast you will become friends with other members from across the country.

Q: Do I have to be a "dues-paid" member of NABWMT or any of its chapters to attend the 2012 Convention?

A: No, anyone who wants to come to convention is welcome. You do have to be registered for the convention by paying the registration fee.



Q: What are the dates of the convention?

A: The convention dates are from July 16 - 21, 2012. The core programming will start on Wednesday July 18th and end with the banquet on Saturday July 21st

Q: What is the name of the Official Convention Hotel?

A: The hotel is named Doubletree San Diego Hotel – Mission Valley. The hotel is located in Hazard Center.

Q: Is there a gay district in San Diego?

A: Yes, there is, Hillcrest is the main gay area in San Diego?

Q: How far is the hotel from Hillcrest?

A: About 2 -3 miles. There is no hotel large enough in Hillcrest that would support our convention

 

Q: Why was this hotel chosen to hold the convention?

A: This hotel was chosen because of its proximity to Hillcrest and its location across the street from San Diego Trolley Station. Plus, the hotel amenities, price rangeand meetings rooms are adequate for our group.
